I'm not familiar with Progeny, but to add a new source for packages, you add a line to your /etc/apt/sources.list. /var/lib/apt/lists (which I believe would have the same type of content) has the Packages Sources and Release files from the different systems. If you are adding a lines to your /etc/apt/sources.list, you should think about what you want to install. Do you want Woody (stable), Sarge (testing), or Sid (unstable). A line from my system (I have 7): deb ftp://mirror.direct.ca/pub/linux/debian unstable main contrib non-free You should read sources.list(5), decide upon your mirror of choice, then add the appropriate lines. > how do I update, or upgrade from my installed progeny 1.0? 1) Add the appropriate lines to your sources.list 2) apt-get update 3) apt-get dist-upgrade -- Seneca [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
