Take a look at /usr/doc/lilo/Manual.txt.gz ... seach for "MESSAGE" and
"PROMPT". Essentially (according to the manual), you do
MESSAGE="filename"
PROMPT
Where filename is a file containing a message you want printed before the
boot: prompt, I guess something like
-------------------------------------------
Welcome to My Computer
When you see "boot:", enter either
Win for Windows95
Linux for Linux
MacOs if you're into fruit
--------------------------------------------
etc.etc.etc.. There's also a way to get it to clear the screen first.
