Hi, Look at /etc/X11/Xsession. It looks at $HOME/.xsession (startup file) and $HOME/.Xresources (user defined resources).
The latter is merged, using xrdb -merge, the former is executed at start up (as long as the line allow-user-xsession is present in /etc/X11/config). manoj -- "No matter where you go, there you are..."
