Depending on the driver you use, you may set up your ssid (and other parameters like channel, wep, transmitting power...) with iwconfig or wlanctl-ng. If you're using a wlan-ng driver, don't bother meditating over the wlan-ng help (you can't call it documentation) too long. Get a frontend instead. Regards, Dennis
