I get a similar message, but each time it's just a nuisance---the reset succeeds and the disk goes on reading. I happens in X or on the console, and only once every couple of days, usually during a long disk access.
I have ASUS P55T2P4 motherboard 32 MB Micron 50ns EDO (in 2 16MB simms) W Dig Caviar 1.6G HDD, master on ide0 (first ide channel) My cdrom is an ATAPI Toshiba 4X, and it is somehow configured as /dev/hdc. Dunno why. Luckily I haven't had to reboot. I'd like to know what's up though. Alan Davis [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Aug 11, Will Lowe wrote > I've been getting this error a lot.
