I have just done the same (installed debian from floppies). If you are luckier than me and your ethernet card is working than you can run 'dselect' and choose one of 5 access methods to install debain packages. I suggest you use FTP. At the prompt: # dselect Choose the [A]ccess method (I suggest FTP) Then follow the instructions...
