My MBR is not the problem....I have a copy of that, and infact already restored it. It's the logical partitions in the extended partition that I am missing info on. Since I deleted the extended parition though fdisk, I'm pretty sure the logical info got wiped, and even with the correct MBR, fdisk does not pull any logicals up. The data is all there, and if I *really* needed it, I could start scanning the raw drive for the bootsectors to find where they start. But the OS, some where, has the layout of the logical partitioning. If I can get the start/stop sectors I can fix it in 30 seconds..... I normally keep all this info on a peice of paper, along with copies of all my boot sectors....I just haven't gotten around to that yet with this set-up. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Elite MicroComputers 908-541-4214 http://www.psychosis.com/emc/ -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
