Does anyone know how to use figures in 0.10.7 version of Lyx from the "frozen" and "contrib" directories? When I click on the figure icon on the menu bar, I'm not prompted for the filename of a figure to include. :-(
It WILL display a figure however, which I tested by editing the User Guide (/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/lyx/doc/UserGuide.lyx) to use the correct path for a picture of a platypus. I changed it to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/lyx/clipart/platypus.eps The User Guide says that the user should click with the center mouse button to popup a dialog box which allows you to insert a postscript figure, but it doesn't work for me.
