Hi all, When installing binutils_2.8.1-1_i386.deb I got dependency error, so I did it again with libbfd2.8_2.8-1.deb which I already had installed. Here is what happened:
LeBox:-> dpkg -i libbfd2.8_2.8-1.deb (Reading database ... 17956 files and directories currently installed.) Preparing to replace libbfd2.8 2.8-1 (using libbfd2.8_2.8-1.deb) ... Unpacking replacement libbfd2.8 ... Setting up libbfd2.8 (2.8-1) ... LeBox:-> dpkg -i binutils_2.8.1-1_i386.deb (Reading database ... 17956 files and directories currently installed.) Preparing to replace binutils 2.8.1-1 (using binutils_2.8.1-1_i386.deb) ... Unpacking replacement binutils ... dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of binutils: binutils depends on libbfd2.8.1; however: Package libbfd2.8.1 is not installed. dpkg: error processing binutils (--install): dependency problems - leaving unconfigured Errors were encountered while processing: binutils I was going to post this in the bug tracking but didn't know which package was at fault. BTW I download these packages from the ~/unstable, and I checked ~/hamm, ~/bo, and ~/Incoming to see if there was newer packages.
