It would be nice to have a tcl/tk program as an extention to dselect. Once you have installed your system you could run the tcl/tk program to either add/remove packages or to configure existing packages. This could be tied in to the existing documentation about each package allowing the user to know what the possible configurations are (and what will happen if they change them).
