I don't think ghostscript has limitations like this. However, it probably needs quite a lot of disk space to print all the pages to your LaserJet. (Magicfilters probably won't help, since they use ghostscript...) I suggest trying to view the big file with ghostview or gv, and if that succeeds, printing the thing in parts (you can easily print ranges of pages in ghostview or gv -- simply select the pages you want to print and click on "Print marked pages" from the menu). (There is probably some way to have ghostscript not use big amounts of disk space, but that might take some configuring, so it's probably simpler to print it in parts...)
