I've done this on 3 Slackware machines as a temporary solution before I reinstall them totally with a debian distribution. It's not too hard to do but you have to bear in mind that it is not a real debian: the passwd and group files do not match at all, the init scripts won't work, etc. But it works perfectly for the simplest packages (ldso, libc, gdbm, db, dump, flex, perl, etc. And even fvwm95 with a bit of config hacking).
