Confusing? Yep! 8^) But it works. It probably got that way by me defining 1 then 2 then 5 then 6 then 3 then 4 then 7, etc. Jim. One, the extended partition isn't necessarily contiguous. Two, the extended partition doesn't have to be partition 4. Organized people probably always make it that way, but scatterbrained (like me) don't.
