I'm having a similar problem! My new Debian installation is up and running, and Afterstep and Fvwm95-2 can't start because they can't find libXpm.so.4 or something like that. I am a beginner, so I have no idea on how to fix this problem. I'll take a look at /etc/ld.so.conf and see if I can figure it out. Could you post a solution (fix) to this problem?
