I would suggest however, that you find some really good disks, format them and rawrite a new set of base disks. If what you are getting is something cryptic like:
A09F... B609... (it's been a long time since I saw this, so the above is only vaguely similar to any actuall message) This indicates failed sector reads caused by a bad disk.
