I have a problem with I-searching in GNU Emacs, in X. When I try to remove characters I have typed (with either backspace or delete), the keypress ends up in the buffer from which I'm searching, and this is obviously not the way it's intended to work. I don't have this problem with XEmacs, or even with GNU Emacs when running in an xterm.
