This caused me > some headaches one time. You were right.... I didnt think to look at the ppp options.. I assumed because slackware setup the defaults that Debian would too.. (it doesnt).. Dpkg-ftp is now working.. Thanks for the useful tip... I will have to stop making rash assumptions in the future...
