How does exactly insmod fails? What are the error messages? I'm loading the 3c509 module from kernel 2.0.23 here without any trouble. All I need to do is to include a line with 3c509 in /etc/modules, and a line with options 3c509 io=0x210 irq=7 in /etc/conf.modules. Everything works really nice with only that. Regards, M.
