I installed the alsa-modules-2.4.19-386 package to go along with my 2.4.19-386 kernel. I then went to the ALSA documentation for the via82xx module and copied the modules.conf information into /etc/modutils/alsa. I then ran "update-modules". When I run /etc/init.d/alsa start I'm receiving an error saying that no device was found. Is there something I should change in my BIOS to enable the sound system? -- Robert -- ------------------------------------------------------------------ Robert James Kaes --- Flarenet Inc. --- (519) 426-3782 http://www.flarenet.com/ * Putting the Service Back in Internet Service Provider * ------------------------------------------------------------------ -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
