Hello list, Is there any way to rebuild all the installed .deb package with gcc 3.2 and some optimization configurations?
Gentoo Linux has a very idea to build the system from base. I tried apt-build in Debian, but it doesn't seem to be able to build libraries. I wonder if it can build gcc, binutils and glibc,etc. Is it possible to use "dpkg -l" to list all installed .deb and then use apt-build to fetch the source, unpack, rebuild into .deb and reinstall all the packages? Then the machine will be much more optimized.
