I've tried the following with no success: resetting bios settings "apm=power-off" in lilo.conf installing apmd and modprobe apm hand-compiled k6 kernel (k7 won't work) I'd prefer to stick to 2.6.x kernel because of udev, but if I'm out of the office people will be confused if it doesn't reboot and it might be necessary to do this remotely.
