It means that at least for your installation there is no support under
linux I believe. I don't have access today to a matlab 6 installation to
check If i get the same error.
6.5, 7 and 7sp2 work fine here (except for the symbolic toolbox which
doesn't work unless matlab is started with LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.0
