I've badly mesed up my email on my debian server.
I've broken some of the config files and I'm not sure what any more and deleted a lot of things in a bad attempt to fix it.

Now I just want to remove it and reinstall exim4 and all of it's related software. apt-get complains it's already installed but I want to just reinstall and overwrite ALL of the configuration and everything with the default options as it it was just a fresh install.

How can I best do this?
Thanks for any help,
John Burton
