Hi all,
I have just installed Sarge with the 2.4.27 kernel
(2.4.27-2-386). I have been having a lot of trouble
building custom kernels. I have used my usual
technique of copying the the config file from the
running kernel and modifying as needed. To don this I
copied
/boot/config-2.4.27-2-386 as the starting point.
However this has not been working well (kernel panics
etc). Looking into the problem it seems to be clear to
me that the config-2.4.27-2-386 does *not* correspond
to what was used to compile kernel-image-2.4.27-2-386
(basically the config file has numerous modules
activated that are not present in the
/lib/modules/2.4.27-2-386.
Can anyone comment or tell me where to find the
correct config file for the supplied kernel images.
