Thanks for the reply, but you've got me completely wrong -- I don't want the [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/pwd title, I want my own. Another thing that I forgot to mention, another reason that I think some system files have been changed is because that the xterm title stays annoyingly the same even after I issued the following command. echo -ne "\033]0;aaaa\007" thanks -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
