Sure they do, because they read 50 messages (in the same thread) in the mean time, and aren't sure which message you're replying to. Or they're reading the thread as it progresses and so it's two hours between reading the original message and the reply. Obviously people need to be reminded of what's been said before, because I've brought up that exact same point about five times already, and I believe others have brought it up as well.
