what is Read from remote host router: No route to hostin something in
Connection to router closed.is the main harddisk....) shouldn't be
laptop:~$ ny ways whilst accessing the CD-ROM, shouldn't it?

is this somehow related to the fact that whilst all relevant modules are
loaded, and that the thing is recognized at boot time, i have no chance
whatsoever to use the damn device??

any hint on what could resolve the matter? at the moment i only tried to
see if i could read an audio cd.... which failed miserably as usual.. so
if anybody could help me get the CD-drive to be something different than
a powerhungry useless dead weigth that would be realy nice...
