Hi, I have a thinkpad with a 82830 chipset. I wanted to change the resolution of the external monitor to 1280x1024 but it won't work. I have the latest xorg xserver installed and am using the driver i810. I think the problem is that my bios says that the resolution is not supported and the i810 driver depends on what the bios says. Unfortunately, I can not update my bios, because I don't have a working battery for my laptop. Does anyone know a solution? Thanks, Wolfgang
