I only honestly lightly skimmed the long version. Anyway... There's a shareware program called FileScavanger that I used once on a failed Windows RAID array. Once the array was broken, Windows didn't seem to see a file-system. This utility managed to recover every file off of a properly configured array of the working drives. It's closed-source black-magic, but it worked for me. -- Adam Fabian ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
