This looks like you are using some virtual file system in /dev, like
devfs (Kernel 2.4) oder udev (Kernel 2.6). In both cases the necessary
daemon needs to be installed (devfsd or udev) and you need to make sure
that all necessary drivers are loaded. You probably need input and
pasux. Try to load the with modprobe - if it works, add them
to /etc/modules.
