If you use "screen" (which was probably not what you meant in the above): ctrl-a [ # enter copy mode navigate to where you want to go # arrow keys, /? for searching space # start copy space # end copy go to the xterm you want to paste into ctrl-a ] # exit copy mode This sounds complicated but actually works remarkably well after doing it a few times. /Allan
