Here can be a single 'magic word' : SourceForge.net: Project Info - Monkey's Audio Codec non-win32 ports http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac-port/ you need two tarballs: mac-3.99-u4-b3.tar.gz and xmms-mac-0.3.1.tar.gz . Compile mac-3.99-u4-b3.tar.g first and xmms-mac-0.3.1.tar.gz later and now you have a plugin to play *.ape files in xmms and a little utility /usr/local/mac that let you to discover what can you do by him ... So is time to sing again ... Linux is the best, is the best in the world .... ;-)
