I am using debian testing, kernel 2.6.7, on an asus laptop with Intel 855GM chipset. I get no sound, and dmesg shows a lot of lines like:
codec_semaphore: semaphore is not ready [0x1][0x700300]
or:
codec_write 0: semaphore is not ready for register 0x2c
I saw posts advising to put snd-intel8x0m in /etc/hotplug/blacklist but when I did it, it didn't solve the problem.
Any idea?
