One word and that is it: UBUNTU. http://ubuntulinux.org Go look, order CDs for your classes from http://shipit.ubuntulinux.org They are shipping FREE slick retail sleeves, with display box if you order enough. They have i386 with both LiveCD and InstallCD. They have PPC CDs (only installCD) and EMT64/AMD64(nocona-opteron) CDS (only InstallCD). So go get'em tiger. I am by far truly impressed with Ubuntu. Every person I have given it to has been able to install it easily and is very friendly. Ubuntu: Linux for humans. While not truly Debian... it is as close as you can get to bleeding edge and stability with a looking forward upgrade path every 6 months if you want. These upgrade coincide with GNOME's stable releases, every 6 months. Currently v4.1 Warty Warthog is truly awesome. Hoary Hedgehog is already in development. -- greg, [EMAIL PROTECTED] The technology that is Stronger, better, faster: Linux
