Ive downloaded, configured, compiled and installed kernel 2.6.9 BUT- . the only thing I have left to do is "mkinitrd" Im not sure what commands I should be putting in... im trying:
metion:/home/metiosarius/src/linux-2.6.9# mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.6.9.img 2.6.9

Usage: /usr/sbin/mkinitrd [OPTION]... <-o outfile> [version] [snip]
mkinitrd -o /boot/initrd-2.6.9.img 2.6.9
Didn't you see the -o in the usage: line?
