I'm having a problem trying to remount /usr read-only. Some process has a file open for writing on /usr even though nothing I'm running on the computer should need to open files on /usr for writing (except apt-get when I tell it to).
My question is how to I find out what process has a file open for writing on /usr? I've already google'd and tried lsof, but lsof doesn't show anything unusual and the documentation doesn't help (I'm probably not using it right). -- -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.1 GAT/CM$/CS>$/CC/IT$/M/S/O/U dpu s+:++ !a C++$>C+++$ UB+++>++++$L++++$*-- P+>++$ L+++(++++)$ E-(---) W+++>$ N(+) o?
