Hi List,

I am trying to get a PCI Eicon DIVA 2.0 S/T ISDN card working on a dknoppix-hd box running with a 2.6 kernel but I'm getting stuck and I don't know how to troubleshoot it.

lspci -v gives:

0000:00:0e.0 Network controller: Eicon Networks Corporation Diva 2.01 S/T PCI (rev 01)
Subsystem: Eicon Networks Corporation Diva 2.01 S/T PCI
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 0, IRQ 10
Memory at e4000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K]
Memory at e4001000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=4K]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 1

And I can see this with dmesg:

ISDN subsystem Rev: 1.1.2.3/1.1.2.3/1.1.2.2/1.1.2.3/1.1.2.2/1.1.2.2 loaded
HiSax: Linux Driver for passive ISDN cards
HiSax: Version 3.5 (module)
HiSax: Layer1 Revision 2.46.2.5
HiSax: Layer2 Revision 2.30.2.4
HiSax: TeiMgr Revision 2.20.2.3
HiSax: Layer3 Revision 2.22.2.3
HiSax: LinkLayer Revision 2.59.2.4

So it *would seem* that the card is recognised OK - but how do I make sure that it really is?

When I try to start isdnutils I get the following:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~# /etc/init.d/isdnutils start
Starting ISDN services: interfaces
Can't open /dev/isdnctrl or /dev/isdn/isdnctrl: No such device
    ippp0 failed.

Any idea what this means?

Cheers,
Jean-Michel.
