Alright, thanks a lot. But can you give me just a bit more instruction on effecting the switch between drivers please? I have a configuration file called XF86Config-4 in /etc/X11R6/ which contains a section "Graphics Device Section", with config instructions for a "standard VGA device" and the ATI driver (this config file was generated automatically by fglrxconfig). Should I make a renamed copy of this, delete the ATI part from the original and then reboot, or what? You see I don't really know what I'm up to.
