Hi all, Has anyone successfully used Tripp Lite's PowerAlert software (ver 11) in Debian Unstable? I just bought a Tripp Lite BCPRO 600 with USB interface. I am using stock 2.4.19 kernel from kernel.org custom compiled for my box. The UPS is detected correctly. Here is the output from `cat /proc/bus/usb/devices`
T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=00 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=1.5 MxCh= 0 D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS= 8 #Cfgs= 1 P: Vendor=09ae ProdID=0001 Rev= 0.01 S: Manufacturer=TRIPP LITE S: Product=TRIPP LITE BCPRO600 C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr= 60mA I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 1 Cls=03(HID ) Sub=01 Prot=00 Driver=hid E: Ad=81(I) Atr=03(Int.) MxPS= 8 Ivl=10ms I have hiddev[0-15] device files in /dev/usb/hid with major 180 and minor from 96-111. After configuration I started PA in server mode. When I fire up PowerAlert in client mode, it always fails with "unable to communicate with UPS at <host> and <port>" error message. I just can't simply figure out how to fix this. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, --- Amal C. Phadke, Ph.D. email: phadke at hydrodyn.org -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
