Is /dev/dvd a link pointing to it? If it is, then please post the full listing of /dev/sr0. If it's not, indicate why you think /dev/sr0 is the proper device node. The error "No medium found" means mount thinks the drive is correct, but there's no readable disk in it. What disk are you trying to mount? Don't try to mount a music CD. Make sure whatever disk you're using is valid, or else you'll never get this error to disappear.
