I posted a seperate message with the details of my postfix troubles. I have a workaround solution of using the cyrus deliver program. I understand that all it does is accept piped input and talk to cyrus-imap via lmtp. I will work through the "equivs" package and go from there. I still 'don't get' how Debian packages are built.
