Hello List, I have a Terratec Aureon 7.1 sound card configured to run with Alsa ( installed from apt-get ). I can get ordinary playback on the analog ports but I cannot get playback through the optical ports. I have the computer hooked up to a pair of Sony surround sound speakers connected via a TOSlink cable. Can anyone shed some light on how to get playback through those digital speakers - preferrably at the same time as the analog ports.
