During installation, you can select to load additional installer
components. Try to look for netconfig or network drivers components.

a f t e r installation you can, if you wish so, install <modconf>  . 
after that you can do as root <modconf>  select from the row <net>, look 
for 8139too and install this driver in the kernel.  restart and your 
rtl-steered  network will almost certainly work flawless.
