I have a server that runs apache1.3. Every sunday morning at 06:30 it stops. /var/log/apache/error.log says [Sun Oct 3 06:30:59 2004] [notice] SIGUSR1 received. Doing \ graceful restart but it gracelessly doesn't.
/etc/crontab has 47 6 * * 7 root test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || run-parts\ --report /etc/cron.weekly which I thought meant do it at 06:47, but I obviously misunderstood as I see the rotated logs are timed earlier usually. For example, messages has the last four rotations timestamped 06:31, 06:29, 06:46, 06:44. I don't see any reference in /etc/cron* to restarting apache, so I am wondering what is stopping it so reliably, and what I should do to ensure it does restart if it must stop. -- richard -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
