Hi All! I'm having a problem with my NVIDIA drivers and DEVFS. When I install the drivers they compile fine and X-windows is working like a charm. But as soon as I shutdown my laptop en reboot, I have to reinstall my drivers. This is a known issue, and I can resolve it by adding the required nodes myself by mknod etc. I've put this in a script and it automatically runs at boot time. However this is not the way I want things to be and I want to get rid of /devFS.
Which options do I have to exclude in my .kernel config to prevent the compiling of devFs? I've already looked, but I can't find the option that does it. I'm compiling kernel 2.6.8.1 from kernel.org. Please advise?
