Here's my situation: (which has to be a very common one) I have 2 machines on a local network, both running Debian/Sarge. One has a printer (Epson SC 660) attached to it's parallel port, and I have that printer set up with CUPS so that I can print to it from that machine. That machine is a CUPS server and client, and it works fine. I used the CUPS web interface (port 631) to set it up.
The part where I'm going blank is how to set up the 2nd machine so that I can use (send jobs to) the printer on the 1st machine. The docs seem to gloss over this, not going into any kind of step by step (or example) as they do with configuring the local machine. In other words, what CUPS packages (if any) are needed on the client machine, and how do I go about accessing and selecting that printer over the network from applications such as Open Office, Mozilla, etc.? I'm sure this is fairly simple, but I just need some kind of a hint (or example) to get started with. This is the first time I've tried CUPS.
