I just discovered last night that my old Extensa-450 Laptop can run X with Fluxbox just fine despite still only having 12MB of RAM. However, the xsetup.sh program that Damn Small Linux uses only offers a choice of 2 servers: Xvesa and Xfbdev.
Xfbdev does not seem to work for me, but Xvesa does. The problem is, Xvesa only gives me at best, 640x480 - 16 Colors, even though I know (from the WfW side of the system) that I can get up to 256 colors. The video controller on the MB is a Cirrus Logic CL-DG 624X. So, what driver should I modprobe to get this set up properly so that I can get at least 640x480 - 8-Bit color? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
