On Sarge, I just used 'apt-get install freeswan' (shortly after upgrading all existing packages), and the apt-get is hanging at this step: "Unpacking freeswan (from .../freeswan_2.04-11_i386.deb) ..." (has been doing nothing for about 30 minutes).
