I did a clean install of woody. I immediately upgraded to sarge, and then immediately upgraded my kernel to 2.6.6 from source using apt. Since then I have a really strange problem. Install hotplug.
I just changed the mobo from an Asus plus PCI Intel NIC, sound, hotrod66 to gigglebite SiS chipset with onboard S900, sound etc and it came up fine, once I installed hotplug.
