I am using woody so it may be different, but I am not seeing that. I am
using framebuffer, so that could make the differnce.

It does sound like either a resolution issue, since different
resolutions usually make the image appear at an different places on crt
screens (try playing with the monitor settings), or a mode issue
(which is the same thing).

I would say that you need to either play with the video mode or use a
frame buffer.
